How Much Does Your Haylage Really Cost?
With prices as high as 35p for a kilo of haylage, it's become almost as expensive as it is to feed concentrates. Large bales can be better value but it's just not practical for many owners.
Most haylage sold is on a price per bale basis regardless of the weight or quality. For example, a 21kg bale at £6.60 works out at 31.4p per kilo. Compare this to our prices, which include delivery and analysis.
Don't forget there is a time and cost factor to you in collecting haylage from your feed merchant. If you travel 30 miles there and back to collect 5 bales and you average 30 miles to the gallon, at £1.20/litre for petrol, you've just spent £5.44 on fuel.

We've indicated the number of horses you could feed at a rate of 10kgs per day, with one bale of haylage, and what that would cost you. The bale usage, prices and dimensions are purely guides.
How to Reserve Your Order Without Taking Delivery... just yet
We appreciate that customers may want to ensure they have a supply of haylage guaranteed but don't want it all delivered at once. You can pay £25.00 to reserve each pallet of small or medium bales you require, and then take delivery at your convenience. All we ask is that all your reserved pallets are delivered by 31 May 2011
Discounts
A discount is available if you take delivery of 3 or more pallets at once and will depend on your post code and number of pallets.

Prices for Small and Medium Bales including Delivery
Customers are buying from us from all over England and Wales and saying "it's the best haylage they and their horses and ponies have ever had"
The prices below include a 4 working day delivery for one pallet of 30 small bales or one pallet of 4 medium bales.
In 2009, pallets of 30 small bales varied in weight from 588kgs to 898kgs and pallets of 4 medium bales from 733kgs to 834kgs (the medium bales all being from the same crop in the same field), which is why we prefer to charge by weight rather than per bale.
One medium bale is approximately equivalent to 7 Small Bales.
We can help you choose which field for your order, to meet your horses' needs, subject to stock being available of course.
